Hot in the city

We don’t want to moan about the weather, it is lovely to have some sunshine, enjoy a BBQ at the weekend, an excuse for a beer in the garden after work. But…isn’t it hard going?!! This really is a scorcher of a few days and quite frankly our houses are not really set up for it with cosy carpets and no air con.

We end up starting our commute to work after a broken night of sleep and then pile into a very hot and crowded train or bus. The Tube in height of summer rush hour is a hot, sticky and quite frankly unpleasant experience!

The commute home after a full day at work is just an experience we’d rather forget. Unfortunately, we have to keep going for five days until we reach the light at the end of the tunnel that is Friday.

What if you decided to be a bit radical and live closer to work – even if it’s just for the summer months?  Imagine waking up (still hot and sticky – we can’t change that!) but in the knowledge that you can stroll to work and actually enjoy the sunshine and see the city waking up in the cool of the morning.

Grab an iced coffee on your way into the office and get through your day knowing that you don’t have to face THE HOT COMMUTE home.

Instead, you could leisurely walk back, get changed, go for swim (ooh even an outdoor swim!), or grab a drink with a friend in a riverside pub.

How on earth can you do that – just for the summer?  Easy.  Rent a room using mondaytofriday.com.

For well over 10 years we’ve advertised rooms to rent across the country.  London is our biggest market, but there are rooms in other UK cities and locations too.  There are so many different opportunities to rent rooms for the working week in all sorts of set ups.  You can rent all year round, just for a few months or even a few weeks in some cases.  There are rooms with en-suites, gardens, fabulous views, cleaners, concierge, gyms and even some with pools!  The rooms are in flats, houses, swanky apartments and even houseboats.  Sometimes the landlord/lady lives there too, sometimes they don’t. More often than not, they too are working hard in the week and you may just share an occasional chat and a cuppa.  They are looking for professional people like you to rent their spare room and make them a bit of extra pocket money and you an easier life Mon-Fri.

It’s a simple idea that has worked for well over a decade and helped hundreds of people to make their working lives easier.

Take a look. Living close to work could mean that hot in the city could be the best news for you this summer!
