Where did mondaytofriday come from?
We set up mondaytofriday.com because we were fed up with soulless hotel rooms and endless hours of commuting to work. We wanted a “home from home” for the working week, but still wanted to go back to our homes and families at the weekend. Our ideal was to rent a room between Monday and Friday, and finding that flexibility proved difficult.

As a result of spending so much time away from home on weekdays, one of our founders, Judy Niner rented out a room in her own home to a lodger during the week, and rented a room in central London to be nearer her work. In line with Government’s Rent a Room scheme, she was able to earn up to £4,250 tax-free income; with the bonus of reclaiming her home and privacy every weekend, when her lodger returned home.

So, Judy’s idea became mondaytofriday.com, an online weekday property rental service for homeowners and lodgers.
