Overview
Description
My home is a 16th century cottage in the beautiful town of Sherborne, very close to the center of town were shops, restaurants and all amenities are within easy walking distance. The room is large, light and airy with a sunny aspect over the garden. It is very quiet and has it's own bathroom with shower. The room has a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers for storage. There is a sitting room that can be used and shared with the owner if required, and a fully equipped kitchen, which is also shared with the owner. There is free off street parking available, and a garden shed that can be used for a bycical, if required. Sherborne also bost of a train station and is only a 6 minute walk from the station to my cottage. Although Monday to Friday is usually a 4 night deal I am happy to consider less nights to the right aplicant.
There are buses to Yeovil and Dorchester and the surrounding area. Trains from London Waterloo to Sherborne run every hour. There are some lovely footpaths for walks in the country and around sherborne.
We have a wide range of independent shops from fabulous cloths, antiques, coffee shops, shoes and a waitrose and Sainsbury's plus a wonderful greengrocer and butcher. There are two lovely parks were the town puts on music under the band stand and we have lots of markets on various days of the week and a monthly market full of great producers of goods from locally made Gin to locally made blacksmith ornaments, to delicious food. In May we have a music festival and in October we have a literary festival.
There is an art society giving lectures on a variety of subjects and a history society should you wish to join, these usually take place in the evenings.
