A large, bright studio comprising the sole use of the second floor of our beautiful, stylish family home in Surbiton.

The studio has a private bathroom, separate bedroom and kitchen / living room, with TV.

The bedroom has a king-size bed with a new mattress.  The living area has a TV with Freeview, two sofas, one of which is a sofa bed. The kitchen has an electric hob, combi microwave oven, fridge and an counter for eating. All appliances brand new.

The house

We are a family of three with one cat and we're looking for someone who's clean, tidy and relaxed.

The house is newly refurbished throughout, including the rooms for rent, with high ceilings and period features. It is detached and situated in a quiet, residential road within easy reach of local shops, cafes and supermarkets. The area is friendly and safe.

The property is secure with all mod cons - GCH, Wi-Fi.

We have previously rented the room out on a short term basis and have had excellent feedback.

The price for long term guests is £725pcm for a five night per week let, and includes all bills (reasonable usage and Council Tax). One month's deposit required and would expect damage/breakages/lost keys to be replaced. These rates apply to guests not working from home.

In terms of location, you couldn’t ask for better - transport links are excellent.

We are served by the historical art deco Surbiton Station with just a 17 minute journey into Waterloo and very regular trains. You can pick up the Waterloo & City line or Jubilee line to the city from here. Alternatively, with a short train ride to Wimbledon you can pick up the District Line, Victoria line from Vauxhall as well as other mainline services from Clapham Junction. We are in Zone 6 which is covered by Oyster card.

There are many buses, including night buses, in and around Surbiton, Kingston, Richmond etc. Within a minute's walk round the corner, there is the option of the 71, K1, K4 and 465. Also the option of mini-cabs, black taxis and Uber.

The local area

You have the benefit of nature and open space combined with a friendly, social and buzzy atmosphere throughout the area.

Local amenities include Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys. There's also artisan cafes, gastro pubs, a number of cocktail bars and Michelin recommended restaurants. We are very close to the shopping hub of Kingston, where there's John Lewis, Heals, and many other fashion and lifestyle shops, all the well known coffee chains and eateries, as well as some super artisan cafes. A good choice of cinemas and theatres, with the Curzon opening in Kingston later this year, joining the existing Odeon and the everyman in Esher.
