I am looking for one person to rent a large room with double bed and floor-to-ceiling inbuilt wardrobe. The room also has a desk and chair, bed-side locker and, if required, bed-linen is provided. The bathroom has a spacious, rectangular shower unit and is right next to the bedroom.  The room looks onto the back garden of the property so there is no traffic noise during the night. The flat is on the ground-floor, with gas central heating, two bedrooms, a comfortable living-room with TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Wi-fi is available and there is very good internet access.  I am the owner and live full-time in the property. Rectory Road over-ground station is close by, with trains to London Liverpool Street every fifteen minutes and lots of buses to the West End.  The neighbourhood is well-supplied with shops, restaurants and bars. Nearby cinemas include the Rio (Dalston) and Hackney Picture House, with plenty of local cultural activities as well as a neighbourhood gym. Clissold Park is nearby with great space to walk or run.

Transport nearby

Rectory Road overground station is two minutes away and you can catch trains every fifteen minutes to London Liverpool Street (to link up with the Central Line underground), and to Seven Sisters station (to link up with the Victoria underground). The area is exceptionally well-served by the bus network ( 67, 73, 76, 106, 149, 243, 276, 393, 476, and the night-bus N73) all connecting to central London. There are cycle paths, including part-way along the canal in the direction of central London.

Describe your neighbourhood here

The neighbourhood is very social with a vibrant, mixed community. There is a wide selection of local shops and supermarkets, great restaurants with different foods (Turkish, Italian, Chinese among others), well-established pubs and a few boutique shops. There are two cinemas within walking distance or via a short bus-ride. We also have a couple of great local theatres that offer fantastic high-quality productions on par with West End offerings, and a variety of adhoc local artistic events. The neighbourhood also offers a range of opportunities for sports, including Clissold Leisure centre with a swimming pool and diverse gym and exercise classes. Clissold Park is fifteen minutes away, and is a popular place to walk or to go running throughout the week.
