My home is in the beautiful conservation area of St Johns, on a quiet residential street very close to a wide range of transport connections getting you into central London or Canary Wharf area in just 15 minutes. 

The house is very British with a few drops of other European influences, giving a homely, eclectic but modern feel. It is a typical London Edwardian terrace, which I gutted and renovated with great pride and joy.

The room is a reasonable-sized double bedroom, newly decorated with a simple, minimal scheme with wooden floors, a restored cast iron bed with excellent mattress, a built in desk, wardrobe and draws . The room is warm, clean and comfortable, and continues the unique style throughout the house with lots of exposed wood, natural finishes and plants.

The house is well insulated for heat with cast iron radiators and a log burner to keep it cosy. To keep cool the original sash window in your room has been recently restored so is in good working order. It is dressed with a blackout blind and curtain for privacy. The room overlooks the rear of the house and gardens and with very few high risers around it is deceiving for Zone 2! Acoustics, I occasionally can hear neighbours but I am blessed with having very considerate ones either side.

The bathroom is small but modern and stylish, with unique triangular bath, double shower (with excellent pressure), and towel radiator. There is a second toilet downstairs too.

Downstairs is relatively open plan with the kitchen opening onto the garden, excellent for entertaining which I enjoy to do. Summer BBQs are a must! The lounge is snug but super cosy with the log burner. It is also fitted with a projector linked to Apple TV. 

The garden also has a bike shed where you can lock up a bike with the existing anchors.

The street itself is a quiet leafy, well presented residential street, with a lovely community in St Johns. It is full of families and interesting, friendly people who have a great pride for the area. Being in the conservation area St Johns a very charming pocket of London.

Nearby developments and regeneration are attracting new and thriving businesses from yoga studios, bike shops, bakeries, galleries, organic hair salons and even the Deptford cinema - all owing to the surroundings having great energy with plenty to see and do.

About me, I'm a designer/creative starting my own business working mostly from home. I also have two children who live with me part of the week. Their Dad and I are still very close so do expect him to be hanging out too. In fact I have a very close family so expect my sisters popping in a lot as well. I love to make, so if its not work I'll be sewing, knitting, sanding, digging, cutting or gluing. I also love food and nutrition. Baked goods are usually overflowing from the biscuit jar, and its more than likely a hearty stew is bubbling in the slow cooker. Im very sociable and love to entertain (although mostly at weekends) but need quiet time too.

Recently I have been trying to live more mindfully so it would be great to have someone who can either encourage me to make more changes, or is willing to respect the changes I've already made.

We are spoilt for choice for coffee, drinks and food. In St Johns itself we have cafe No.50 Friendly Street which is a brilliant little coffee bar, then The Brookmill Pub a very short walk away with a great menu. Middletons Deli is a great lunch spot or where to pick up a delicious organic loaf just minutes walk from the house. Head South and you'll soon be in Brockley. Head North and you have the very trendy Deptford High street. Greenwich is also only a short walk, with the world famous Royal Observatory, Maritime Museum, Planitarium, stunning Royal Park, renowned market and much more. The whole area has great amenities with gyms, yoga studios, leisure centres, bakeries and cinemas - including the Deptford cinema!
