Georgian townhouse on the park
Overview
Description
Our spare room is on the lower ground floor of our period townhouse on Burgess Park. The lower ground floor has its own entrance (we use the one at ground floor level), and you would have the use of the whole lower ground floor (but not the rest of the house). This includes a kitchen/dining room, bathroom, and patio. We mostly use the dining room at the weekend, apart from that we tend to keep to the rest of the house (there is a separate kitchen and garden at ground floor level that we tend to use) so you would have a high level of privacy almost like having a separate flat to yourself.
The house is located on beautiful Burgess Park, complete with lake, cafe, and tennis courts. The location is a 20 minute walk to Elephant and Castle tube, or a two minute walk to a number of buses that run directly to Waterloo/Westminster/London Bridge/the City in 20-30 minutes.
The room itself is quiet and has blackout blinds, so a peaceful place to be for sure. We have a cleaner who comes once a week and who will change your sheets once a fortnight, and there is a separate washing machine and dishwasher downstairs (again we tend to use the ones upstairs). All bills are included, and there is unlimited WiFi.
We are looking for a Mon-Fri lodger who will enjoy staying in a beautiful period property in a great location, with the bonuses of the park and almost total privacy thrown in, we hope it’s you!
Elephant and Castle tube nearby, 363/63/21/78 buses on the doorstep, quiet dedicated cycle path all the way to the City in 20 mins.
The house is on Burgess Park (lake, tennis courts), and a 20 min walk along another park to Peckham for cafes/shops/restaurants/cinema. It’s also a 20 min walk in the other direction to Bermondsey and Borough for restaurants, bars, and cinema.
