A bright, stylish double bedroom for one person in a three-bedroom, split level flat right opposite Canonbury Overground station, and just around the corner from lovely Newington Green.

This room is available Monday to Friday (with some flexibility for some weekends if agreed) from September 13.

This arrangement would work perfectly for someone working in London during the week. There is very good public transport access to the City and the West End, and the neighbourhood is extremely pleasant and well served with cafes, restaurants and independent local shops.

The two-level flat (2nd and attic floors) is bright and recently renovated and there is access to a shared kitchen, bathroom and living space.

You would be sharing the flat with the owner (45 year old male senior executive) and, occasionally (a few days each month), his wife and 10 year old daughter.

The owner works in London but is often travelling abroad, so the flat will be left to you for approximately 25% of the time. The family is half British, half French and very friendly. The third bedroom will be unoccupied most of the time. All genders, ages welcome.

This will be a calm, quiet place to stay during the weeks with few distractions.

There is Wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, a good-sized kitchen.

The area - Canonbury, Newington Green, with a quick walk to Highbury Fields and Highbury & Islington - is really lovely. Quiet and leafy. Our flat is next to the railway so you have to be ok with the gentle hum of the trains going by.

I would need a month’s rent in advance and a month’s deposit, and would expect a minimum commitment of three months, with one month’s notice.

The rent includes all utilities and Council Tax.

Transport nearby

Canonbury Overground station is across the road - giving quick access to the City and West End. There are loads of bus routes too. And it’s a 15 minute walk to Highbury and the Victoria Line (although you can connect to that from Canonbury too). Very well connected!

Newington Green is less than 10 minutes away and has several cafes and restaurants and pubs. Clissold Park is 10 minutes walk too. 15 minutes away are the busy shopping and eating areas of Highbury and Islington. It’s also 20 minutes walk to Dalston with loads of bars and restaurants there too.
