Description

This very spacious and bright double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and lounge area,  situated in a quiet and very friendly residential cul-de-sac. It is on the top floor of my modern three storey town house. There is plenty of cupboard space and general storage.

You will also have use of the kitchen and garden.

Bedlinen and towels provided and laundered. Weekly cleaner is also included, as are all other bills.

The area has controlled parking but my drive and/or scratch cards can be available to you (though not as a regular feature of the Mon-Fri arrangement). 

There are railings within the front garden to secure a bicycle.

I am a retired headteacher and spend my time between London and Folkestone. Most of my immediate family live in the surrounding area so if there are any problems whilst I'm away help is on hand!

Transport nearby

The District and Hammersmith and City lines run from Stepney Green (Zone 2) with the Central line only a 2 mins connection at Mile End and Overground 2 mins in the other direction at Whitechapel.
Canary Wharf is a 15-19 mins tube journey with 2 changes or a pleasant 10-15min walk to Limehouse DLR passed the local farm and through St Dunstans churchyard where's it's only 3 mins on the train.
The buses are frequent and, as with the tube lines, provide good connections as well as direct routes to and from the West End.
The 25 night bus stops by the top of the road. It travels from central London to Ilford via Stratford where coaches proves an excellent service for very early morning flights from Stansted.
There are good cycle and walking/running routes around for commuting as well as leisure.
Queen Mary University and the Royal London Hospital are a short 5-10min walk away.

Stepney Green is well situated for Central London as well as Canary Wharf. There are plenty of small local shops, ranging from Bangladeshi supermarkets to Kosher bakers, as well as Co-op and Sainsbury's Local supermarkets. There are some good pubs and restaurants a stone's throw away. The award winning independent cinema, Genesis, is only a short walk.
It's a 5-10min walk to the canal where you can walk or cycle down to the river and Canary Wharf or up to Victoria Park, Islington and Kings Cross. For an inner city area, there is plenty of open space nearby.
