Spacious double bedroom available in a brand-new flat next to Homerton station. Access to own bathroom with shower and bathtub, as well as a large, open-plan living space and balcony. The flat has floor to ceiling windows in each room and is all south-facing, so gets tonnes of natural light. The bedroom is furnished with a few simple pieces (double bed, chest of drawers, clothes rail, mirror) though I'm happy for someone to bring in/add furniture that suits them. There is a secure bike store available on the ground floor. The building also has a lift and rooftop garden.

I bought the flat new in January 2019, so appliances, insulation/heating and all other fittings are in top condition. It's my first place and I treat it with a lot of care, so am looking for a friendly, relaxed individual who similarly wants to treat it as their home during the week. I'm ideally looking for someone to move in from 1st October, though will consider sooner for the right fit. Price includes all bills.

Transport nearby

The flat is right next to Homerton Overground station which enables connections to the City (Liverpool Street) in <25 mins and Canary Wharf in <30 mins for commuters. Stratford is two stops away with connections to multiple tube lines, the DLR, and National Rail. Bus lines 26 (Waterloo) and 30 (Marble Arch) stop around the corner. Hackney has invested a lot in cycling infrastructure in recent years and there are several dedicated cycle lanes and marked quietways that pass close to the flat.

Describe your neighbourhood here

Homerton is a bit of a hidden gem in Hackney - full of great pubs, cafes and restaurants, yet it gets less foot traffic from outside the area than neighbouring Hackney Wick or London Fields. It feels like a real community. There are several large, green spaces nearby with Well Street Common <5 mins walk away, Victoria Park <7 mins and Hackney Marshes and the Olympic Park <10 mins away. It is similarly very easy to access and enjoy all the other great neighbourhoods around the Borough by foot, bike or bus - Chatsworth Road (with its Sunday market) is 5 mins walk away, while London Fields/Broadway Market, Hackney Wick, and Hackney Central are all 10-15 mins walk
