Set out as double bedroom and sitting room but can be used as two bedrooms as the sitting room contains a sturdy sofabed.  The bedroom has built-in storage and access to the en suite.  In addition tenants have use of shared kitchen and dining room.  Owner (landlady) and son live in.  The property has excellent transport links to town centre (a mile away) and into Bradford and Leeds.  Set in the Akroydon conservation area which is of historical interest, there are two parks close by, one within 50 metres.  Although fronting onto a main road, the area is remarkably quiet.  There are a couple of convenience stores very close by and parking at the rear.  We are a professional household and we both work from home although the landlady is semi-retired.  We are a friendly pair and respect the privacy of our tenants although more than happy to socialise as much as required.  We feel the room would be suitable for someone working in or near Halifax but having a home just too far away to get to and from on a daily basis.  We are accustomed to shiftworkers and are accommodating towards their needs.  Happy to provide a home cooked evening meal, time of which can be adjusted to meet working requirement.

Transport nearby

Excellent bus service into town and to Bradford with stops outside. Good connections from Halifax bus station to Leeds, Huddersfield, etc. Halifax has a good rail service to Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and York

Set in the historically interesting conservation are of Akroydon approx one mile from town centre. Small park about 50 metres away, larger Bankfield Park less than 100 meters. Local shops and takeaways.
