Touchdown!

So, the New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons to win the 51st Super Bowl last weekend. A nail biting, adrenalin fuelled match until the very last second!  For those of us who watched it live, the 3am finish was a real killer but absolutely worth the sleep deprivation!

There is nothing like watching live sports. A mid-week football match can really lift your spirits and give you a reason to meet up with friends and watch the match together, or if you are lucky enough, actually go to the match itself.

Here’s the rubbish bit. If you have a long commute home from work, you’ll end up plugging into the match on your iPad on the way home – sat on a cramped train or bus, or listening to it on the radio whilst you navigate your way through traffic.  This is not a fun way to enjoy a live match!  If you are not nestled in amongst the crowd chanting with your fellow fans and enjoying a tasty half-time pie, the next best thing is to be sat on the sofa with a chilled beer completely relaxed and enjoying some time out.

This boils back to our favourite blog topic of introducing more time for yourself into the busy working week.

If you rent a room closer to work just Mon-Fri you could indeed be settled nicely on the sofa watching your favourite team play mid-week. You would have even had time to get organised for the next day, squeeze in a gym session and have something to eat before the match kicks off. Imagine that? But how do you go about finding a room just for the working week? Are there really rooms all over the country in the location that you work in? Are they affordable?

We are mondaytofriday.com and we advertise rooms for professionals to rent just for the working week. The aim is to make the working week as easy as possible for you, allowing you time to recharge your batteries in the evening rather than waiting until the weekends.

Living closer to work not only means that you remove the stressful commute but you also reduce the associated costs that go with this allowing you to divert them into your rental cost instead.  Monday to Friday rooms come in all shapes and sizes.  They are spare rooms in flats, or houses, or converted barns.  They can be in thatched cottages, grand country houses, smart Georgian town houses, cool urban apartments. Sometimes the owner lives there too, sometimes they don’t.  Many of the landlords work away and want someone in their homes during the week, others work very long hours and you’ll just be ships passing or others are retired and at a home a bit more.  Some landlords are happy for you to keep your things in the room over the weekend, others have cleaners some lucky ones even have on-site concierge, gyms and swimming pools! There really are a tonne of different situations and property types. The locations are really varied and so are the prices.  So why not have a browse through our site and see if there is something there for you.
