Description

My home is a bright and cosy, top floor, one bedroom flat in a seafront square with a fully-equipped kitchen (I am a foodie who has done a lot of catering over the years), a bathroom with bath and shower, a hall area with a table and stools for meals or work and a bijoux double bedroom with dressing table and stool, 2 x bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, shoe cupboard and bedroom chair.  The bedroom opens out onto a balcony with mature succulents and a table and chairs to enjoy the fresh Brighton sea air. There is a sun chair available. The bijoux bedroom is on offer to a M2F renter with use of the kitchen, bathroom, hall area and balcony.

This is quite a unique offering in that there are many weeks of the year when the M2F renter will have the whole flat to themselves and whilst use of the lounge is not on offer when I am in residence, it is available when I am away housesitting.  I would say that a rough guide would be that I am 50/50 at home/housesitting.  For that reason I have included photos of the lounge.

The kitchen is available for use at all times as I am sure we can find a way to work around each others schedules. The same applies to use of the bathroom.  When at home, I work from home and do not have a strict routine, hence I am able to be flexible in both these areas.  As mentioned above there will be times when the M2F renter will have full use of the flat and its facilities.

The flat will be available at weekends should the M2F renter wish to rent it for an additional sum per weekend (to inc Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Transport nearby

It is a 20-30min walk to Brighton station and buses run frequently in all directions. You really do not need a car in Brighton but if you have one there is now paybyphone everywhere. It is not cheap but you can usually find a space. Bike is also a great way to get around and if you don't have your own you can hire them from various collection points nearby.

Describe your neighbourhood here

The flat is at the top of St James St which is a busy street full of everything you could ever want for - great restaurants and cafes, high street food stores as well as many unique independent stores, hairdressers and barbers. It is a mere 2 mins walk down to the seafront and 7 mins walk down to the Old Steine and the centre of Brighton. You are right at the centre of it all.
